Blind contour

Blind contour with a brush pen
There is nothing more terrifying. But fun. Drawing with Oliver again.
-

This, also, is not Dalton
There are so many. It is quite liberating, but probably very bad for my discipline? Such is tragedy of the blind contour.
-

Another misdrawn Dalton
Ill add this to the pile of terrible drawings I have made of Dalton that look nothing like him. Bind contour! Some fun with the pencil crayons anyway. He stares at me with those accusing eyes from beyond the sketchbook! No! I’m sorry, Dalton! You must forgive me!

Blind Contour Nephew
Martin and I drew blind contour drawings of eachother last summer, which I later filled in with watercolour. Really fun.
-

Futures Bistro With Oliver
This is a person sitting behind Oliver, engrossed with his writing. A great way to practice, using tiny coloured pencils.
-

Sleeping Cat
I had used this page in my sketchbook to test my brushpen writing this random word, and then later filled the rest of the space with a sketch of what was in front me, which is most often these days a sleeping cat. We also light a lot of beeswax candles and eat a lot…

Again Posers Life Drawing at Gallery 1065
A smaller turnout, but great supportive participants and great guidance, and also a great model tonight. I love walking to life drawing in our neighbourhood. So lucky to have Gallery 1065 here.

More Posers Life Drawing at Gallery 1065
This time I went on my own. Lots of friendly people and many great talents. A really encouraging environment.

Posers Life Drawing at 1065 Gallery
3-minute poses, 7-minute poses, 15-minute poses. Much fun with Dalton, Oliver, and John. Nice chatting with Michael, the curator. Our model (whose name I did not catch!) was crazy-good, just the most dynamic, exhausting poses. I don’t always say this, but extra points for wearing elf ears. Pun not intended.

Life Drawing at Gallery 1065
More fun times with John, Oliver and Dalton: drawing, drinking, open mic night, the Jays win game 4 of the World Series.

September Sketchbook
Sloppy blind contour sketches of characters from Washington Black, which I later filled with water colour. No reason.
