Yes! When I go over old journals, diaries or date books, I seem to remember so much more when I see my own handwriting, it evokes that moment, yes. I feel it moreso now that I use an electronic organizer to keep track of the days. They just disappear.I’m keenly interested in this topic, my mother had alzheimer’s disease. As her ability to reason eroded, what remained – her own personal stories – came through. It seemed it was these stories are what held her mind together, her perception.
