On a whim I bid on one of Gabrielle Bell‘s Subway Sketches on Ebay, never thinking I would win it, but I did. And then I put it on the credit card. And then our cell phone bill payment bounced. No reason.
I am such a huge fan of her work, I’m really grateful to have a drawing of hers, especially as I started drawing in the early 2000’s and posting on my blog sketches of people on the subway and busses on the way to work.
There are no pencil lines, it looks straight from pen to paper. Wow. It just feels so good to have it on our wall. I feel like things are possible.
